I Know What I Didn't Do This Summer

I was in a lyft this summer and he was rather talkative. He told me a little about his life, he told me that I should visit Australia at once in my lifetime, he asked what I did for living and I was hesitant to say cause I wasn't working. I basically choose to be unemployed this summer, I've been working since August 2021, and it really put a strain on my son, everyday he asked if I was going to work and when I was coming home, the look on his face when I'd tell him that I was off was like a fat kid when he sees cake. At times I would come home 10 at night, put him to bed, wake up the next morning drop him off at school and do another full day at work.

He asked my age and I said 26, he said I still had time to figure things out, he said by the time I'm 30 I should just have the idea of what I'm suppose to do. Which got me freaking out, I barely know what I want to eat for dinner. Having a 9-5 career wouldn't be the  best for me and my son, couple of part times to be able to get by and save would be just right, as it is just the two of us for now.

Next story? The Job Hunt

Well, I've been juicing my savings because I was taking a break off work, but today was my first day of work and it was so exciting. I work at my son's school so its a small part time but I also went on a job frenzy and applied to 30 different positions. I have an interview at Carters next week which is so exciting. See I loved my previous job up until it turned into WW3, people snitching and throwing each other under the bus to keep their jobs. The previous job who should not be named, taught me a lot about the world. I swear there's nothing the job force world can throw at me besides hands cause that job was hell. I've done customer service in retail since 2018, so I thought I'd do something with my life. I was gonna say when I was little but I am still little so when I was younger I wanted to be a teacher, I loved kids and teaching. I've had many job ideas such as accountant because I really enjoyed numbers, sports broadcaster that's when I was really into sports specifically basketball, now I'm thinking about bartending, how to get ordained, even apply to notarized. Let see how much I can get done by next year. I applied to like 30 different jobs and I've got rejected by 3 so far, but I've added different ideas to the list.

Whats on my mind??

I have a bartending school in mind, not that far from my house. But your girl also got ordained lol. Yeah, it was random, I don't know what I was thinking about I know it free and anyone can do it. I applied at American Marriage Ministries, I promise you a commercial is longer than what it took for me to get officiated. I can just imagine a drunk couple at a bar, there's a proposal and I almost tipsy and I slur my words like, "Yes, I'll marry you guys, let's do it right now,", like if Vegas can do it at every other cheap chapel why can't I. I'm just waiting for the time where I don't have things that may interfere with the class, its only 4 outta the 7 days, I would've done it already but my mom travelled outside the country and that ruined it. Plus its also a bit outside my budget and I don't have the funds like that, I haven't even seen my first check, maybe this Friday I'll see it, it feels so good to be working again.

Conflicted

I don't know how well you guys are into Disney channel but there's a show called Austin & Ally, there's a character named Trish and every other day she has a different job. It's so hilarious, and that's what your girl is lol. I just got ordained yesterday and I thought it was so cool. I'm thinking about getting certified to be notary, and since I started this site which I am so happy about, it was brought to my attention to become a copywrite. I explained that writing isn't really my thing but the fact that I had this idea and I am perusing this says something.

I also looked into being a teacher aide but there's two fees and there's qualifications that I don't have. Man one can imagine a teacher's aide whose a minister, whose a bartender, whose a notary, a woman of many, many trades.
